CS478: Independent Study
Credits: 1-3
Catalog Description
Work done by a student or group of students under faculty supervision on material not currently offered in a regularly scheduled course. Students wishing to undertake such work must first find a faculty member willing to supervise it; By default, an independent study is a one credit course that counts as a general elective. If a student wishes to have the independent study considered as a CS upper level elective, they have to prepare a syllabus and send it to the department chair or undergraduate program director for pre-approval. Afterwards, they may sign up for a three credit course.
